Are You Building Your Business—or Just Staying Busy? with Christina Deering

Are You Building Your Business—or Just Staying Busy? with Christina Deering

Is the business you’re building giving you the life you wanted—or keeping you too busy to live it?

Business intuitive and You Unlimited podcast host Christina Deering joins Jet Bunditwong on The Personal Side of Business to explore how personal experiences shape the way we work, lead, and define success.

Christina shares how her background in marketing led her toward helping entrepreneurs build more meaningful businesses, and how personal loss changed her relationship with spirituality and purpose. Together, she and Jet discuss the pressure to do everything yourself, the fear behind letting go, and what happens when you follow someone else’s blueprint instead of your own.

In this conversation:

• Recognizing the difference between staying busy and making meaningful progress
• Delegating so you can focus on the work only you can do
• Exploring the “five layers of why” behind starting your business
• Reconnecting your daily decisions with the life you want
• Christina’s perspective on intuition and spirituality in business
• Navigating grief, change, and the need for support as an entrepreneur

In a personal closing conversation, Christina opens up about pregnancy loss, motherhood, and learning to ask for help during one of the hardest seasons of her life.

For anyone who has lost sight of why they started, this episode offers space to pause, reflect, and consider what success means now.

Content note: Includes discussion of grief, pregnancy loss, and emotional distress.

00:00 --> 00:03 Am I doing this in alignment or am I just being busy?
00:03 --> 00:07 Because there is something to be said about running
00:07 --> 00:10 the marathon that is entrepreneurship and owning a business, but sometimes you're
00:11 --> 00:14 running on the wrong street or you're running in the wrong direction and
00:14 --> 00:17 it's like you're running, that's great, but take a beat to say,
00:17 --> 00:22 let me check my directions first. Welcome to The Personal Side of Business where
00:23 --> 00:26 you hear real stories from real entrepreneurs.
00:36 --> 00:39 Hi, and welcome to The Personal Side of Business, where every business has a story.
00:40 --> 00:43 I'm your host, Jet Budden Wong. Today, my guest is a keynote speaker.
00:44 --> 00:48 She has a popular podcast called You Unlimited, and she's a business intuitive,
00:49 --> 00:52 which we're gonna find out what that means. Welcome to the podcast,
00:52 --> 00:55 Christina Deering. Thank you so much. I'm so excited to be here. This is gonna
00:56 --> 00:59 be a lot of fun. Yeah. So let's start. Let's tell everyone how
00:59 --> 01:03 we got here. What's your story? Yeah. So in
01:04 --> 01:07 general, what brought me back into San Diego, which I just love San Diego so
01:07 --> 01:11 much, was I had an interview earlier this morning, TV interview, and then
01:11 --> 01:14 my PR agent set this up and it was so fun for us to be
01:14 --> 01:17 able to just connect. And when I started listening to your podcast, it wasn't just
01:18 --> 01:21 about the connection. It was about like, how deep you go into people's
01:21 --> 01:24 stories and how you not just, you don't just talk about business. You also talk
01:25 --> 01:28 about the personal side of business, which I believe, especially as a business intuitive,
01:29 --> 01:32 all of it's related. And if we have a lot of stuff going on personally,
01:32 --> 01:36 we have to tune into that, maybe move some energy around that so that
01:36 --> 01:39 you can fully step into where you desire to be in business.
01:40 --> 01:43 So I'm really excited about how you just allow the two to really dance
01:44 --> 01:48 together. I think that'll be fun. Yeah. I think it's really important, not just
01:49 --> 01:52 understanding how you run a business and all the details, cuz you've talked
01:53 --> 01:56 about that too, you know, delegating, putting things in place. Yeah.
01:57 --> 02:00 Knowing when to get help and mentorship,
02:00 --> 02:04 but also having this personal side and
02:04 --> 02:08 figure out how it's aligned with your business. And you talked a lot
02:08 --> 02:12 about that. Yeah. Right. So what are some of the things that you've seen in
02:13 --> 02:16 business owners that maybe that's where they're missing?
02:16 --> 02:20 Like what are some signs that business owners can say,
02:20 --> 02:23 oh, that's me. Yeah. Well, when I think about
02:23 --> 02:27 the personal side of business, I think about this idea of we
02:28 --> 02:30 could have the perfect business strategy, right? Like you can go to someone, you can
02:30 --> 02:34 have the perfect soul-aligned strategy. You're ready to go. And if you
02:34 --> 02:37 have a fear that's in the way of what you want, you'll block
02:37 --> 02:40 that strategy from working all day long. And so when I think
02:41 --> 02:43 about the personal side of business, I think about let's tune into what are your
02:44 --> 02:46 biggest fears when it comes to what you wanna build. If we can start to
02:47 --> 02:51 move the energy around that, that's gonna allow you to really propel forward and
02:51 --> 02:55 fully step into what you desire most. I think what we desire is destined
02:55 --> 02:58 for us, and we have a lot of stories that are in the way around
02:58 --> 03:02 us being visible, around us having a fear of success or a fear of failure
03:02 --> 03:05 that will have us procrastinate or do other things like that. So I think it's
03:06 --> 03:09 really important to be aware, or at least bring someone
03:09 --> 03:11 in that can help you be aware of what's in the way of what you
03:11 --> 03:15 want. Yeah. I've listened to a lot of your episodes.
03:15 --> 03:18 And one of the things that I've got from it was there was
03:18 --> 03:22 this sort of key theme of figuring that
03:22 --> 03:26 out. Yeah. Where you need to be aligned
03:27 --> 03:30 in certain places, fix yourself up. And someone's journey
03:31 --> 03:35 might not be your journey. Yeah. There was something really poignant that you had
03:35 --> 03:37 brought up that You can get a mentor,
03:38 --> 03:41 get the person to show you exactly how they made a million dollars.
03:41 --> 03:45 Yeah. But you're still not happy inside because something
03:45 --> 03:49 about you is not there. Right. What are some of the skills that you give
03:49 --> 03:53 to your clients to help them get there? Mm-hmm. So something
03:53 --> 03:57 that I use that undoubtedly helps them get to where they wanna go faster is
03:57 --> 04:00 something I call the 7-figure shift. And it's really powerful.
04:00 --> 04:04 It's basically what you're doing is you're starting to visualize what you want in your
04:04 --> 04:08 mind's eye, but you are calming your nervous system in the process. And so
04:08 --> 04:11 it's really important to do because often we see the vision and then we start
04:12 --> 04:14 getting really scared to go after the vision. Mm-hmm. You know what I mean?
04:15 --> 04:18 Sometimes we like, or we'll invest in the space and then we're suddenly frozen.
04:18 --> 04:21 We're like, uh, I don't know what to do with my hands. And it's like,
04:21 --> 04:24 you actually know what to do, but it's just fear that's creeping in. And so
04:24 --> 04:28 the 7 Figure Shift, which is really powerful, allows you to calm your nervous system
04:28 --> 04:33 while visualizing the thing that you want. And what it's doing is it's normalizing success
04:33 --> 04:36 in the body. When success feels normal, it's so much easier
04:37 --> 04:39 for it to come to fruition because we're like, of course. And then it just
04:40 --> 04:43 starts to align us with opportunities, people, things of that nature. So it's a
04:44 --> 04:47 really powerful exercise. They can find it on my website, christinadeering.com/shift.
04:48 --> 04:52 Yeah. If they want it. So it's almost like centering
04:52 --> 04:55 yourself first to be able to meet the goals that you want outside your
04:56 --> 04:58 body. Yes, exactly. Okay. And what feels normal, we manifest in.
04:59 --> 05:03 Yeah. Now here's my devil's advocate,
05:03 --> 05:06 right? Go for it. Because I've, I've preached some
05:06 --> 05:10 of the same things for people to— I'm a big believer in trying to
05:10 --> 05:15 educate your mind, uh, to, to enhance
05:15 --> 05:20 your body and then, um, to learn about business in all aspects.
05:20 --> 05:23 'Cause I think you need to put those things together. You know, something I've brought
05:23 --> 05:27 up before is there's this, um, triangle that I always think has
05:27 --> 05:30 to happen, right? It's just the brain, uh, the business and
05:31 --> 05:34 the heart. And all those 3 things have to really align, I think, for someone
05:34 --> 05:39 to be super successful. And a lot of times 2 of those things work
05:39 --> 05:43 out and you're always missing this one component and you're always chasing after it.
05:43 --> 05:47 And as you're chasing after it, one of those other things starts to disappear
05:47 --> 05:50 because your energy can only go in one place or, or,
05:50 --> 05:52 you know, it can only go in a couple of places at a time.
05:54 --> 05:57 When a business owner is going through this and there's 16-hour
05:57 --> 06:00 days, 7 days a week, and they're just busting their butt.
06:00 --> 06:04 And we're going to them and saying,
06:04 --> 06:07 hey, we need you to do something else. Mm-hmm. We need you to focus
06:07 --> 06:11 on yourself for a little bit to be able to get to center,
06:11 --> 06:14 to be able to get this business successful. That business owner
06:15 --> 06:18 will usually come up to me and say, you're crazy. I don't, I don't have
06:18 --> 06:21 time for my, my kids. I don't have time for my family. I barely eat.
06:21 --> 06:24 I eat once a day and I forget sometimes to do this and this and
06:25 --> 06:28 this. What are we telling them as a business owner? You know, This is
06:29 --> 06:33 how you're going to get to that center. So they often say those
06:33 --> 06:36 that don't have time to meditate are the people that need to meditate most.
06:36 --> 06:39 You know what I mean? And if you try it, even if
06:40 --> 06:43 you take 3 deep breaths, when you're in that, you know, go, go, go,
06:43 --> 06:46 go, go, go, go, go, go. When you take the 3 deep breaths, all of
06:47 --> 06:50 a sudden your to-do list might start to look different. So you might look at
06:50 --> 06:53 it and say, okay, I've got 900 things to do and I need to make
06:53 --> 06:55 sure that this is done. But when you start looking at it, you might be
06:55 --> 06:58 like, you know what, I could actually, now that I've calmed my nervous system for
06:59 --> 07:02 even 1 minute, if that's all it takes, 3 deep breaths,
07:02 --> 07:06 now that I'm feeling a little more centered, I'm recognizing that maybe this
07:06 --> 07:08 to-do could be moved to tomorrow. Maybe I can delegate this one.
07:09 --> 07:12 Maybe this one isn't even something I need to do, but I'm just
07:12 --> 07:15 feeling like I should do it because I've always done it. It gives you a
07:16 --> 07:19 minute to actually take a look at what you're doing and to say, am I
07:19 --> 07:23 doing this in alignment or am I just being busy? Because there
07:23 --> 07:26 is something to be said about running the marathon
07:26 --> 07:30 that is entrepreneurship and owning a business, but sometimes you're running
07:30 --> 07:33 on the wrong street or you're running in the wrong direction. And it's like,
07:33 --> 07:36 you're running, that's great, but take a beat to say,
07:36 --> 07:39 let me check my directions first. Because so often they're
07:40 --> 07:42 gonna be running in the opposite direction and suddenly we're gonna build the business,
07:43 --> 07:46 have the income we desire, but we wanna burn it to the ground because we
07:47 --> 07:50 have to keep grinding. And it's like, so be kind of aware of where
07:50 --> 07:54 you're at. And start to build it in a way that will excite
07:54 --> 07:57 you to show up for. Does that make sense? Are there, are there,
07:57 --> 08:01 yeah, absolutely. Are there procedures
08:01 --> 08:05 that you think help certain styles of
08:05 --> 08:08 business owners more than others? Like maybe if someone's like a, I don't
08:09 --> 08:12 know, engineer brain. Mm-hmm. Maybe if they're looking at, for them, it's probably listing
08:12 --> 08:16 things out. Yeah. Right. Maybe someone who's, I don't know, out in
08:16 --> 08:20 the field more, maybe for them is to, to park their car,
08:20 --> 08:24 stop for a second, take those breaths and just relax or listen to something that's
08:25 --> 08:28 calming for them. Otherwise, and then before they go out into this construction site,
08:28 --> 08:32 that's, that's gonna be loud and noisy, right? Are there, do you feel like there's
08:33 --> 08:37 techniques that align more with certain types of business
08:37 --> 08:41 owners than others? Absolutely. Uh, I think let's optimize
08:41 --> 08:44 our time, you know, like I think that's really important. So what could you do
08:44 --> 08:47 to couple it with something you're already doing? Yep. So that could be as simple
08:47 --> 08:50 as, Brushing your teeth, you're going to do it most likely twice,
08:51 --> 08:54 twice a day. And so what can you do while you're brushing your teeth that
08:54 --> 08:57 could calm your nervous system at the same time? Could you just breathe in and
08:58 --> 09:01 out through your nose and just start to center yourself? Now you've got
09:01 --> 09:04 2 minutes in the morning, 2 minutes at night. And what that's allowing you to
09:04 --> 09:07 do is to really start to say, okay, I feel grounded. I feel centered.
09:07 --> 09:11 And let me release the day, the day that I just had. So I think
09:11 --> 09:14 coupling things with things you're already doing is going to allow that to be a
09:15 --> 09:18 lot easier. And I, I do something called transform your
09:18 --> 09:22 to-do list as well. So those that are really oriented on like having a list
09:22 --> 09:25 and wanting to check things off, one of the things that I teach people to
09:25 --> 09:28 do too is look at your to-do list and start to take a look
09:29 --> 09:32 at on a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being,
09:33 --> 09:35 I just wanna jump off a ledge. I don't wanna do this at all.
09:35 --> 09:39 10 being like, oh, total flow state. I could do this all day. Start to
09:39 --> 09:43 rate some of those to-dos and say, okay, if it's a 10, I'm going to
09:43 --> 09:46 do those. That feels really good. If it's anything that's underneath a 5, I always
09:46 --> 09:50 invite people to do one of 3 things. Look at those and say,
09:50 --> 09:53 one, can I either throw this task away? Because sometimes you can.
09:53 --> 09:56 Sometimes we have stuff on our to-do list and we're like, I don't actually have
09:57 --> 09:59 to do this. I've just been telling myself I need to. So can I throw
09:59 --> 10:03 it away? Can I delegate it? Meaning, can I delegate it
10:03 --> 10:06 to my team? Can I delegate it to my partner?
10:06 --> 10:10 Can I delegate it to someone else? If you can't do either of those things,
10:10 --> 10:14 The last thing that I recommend is how can you actually change the energy
10:14 --> 10:17 in which you're doing it? Because we exhaust ourselves when
10:18 --> 10:20 we're doing things that we really don't want to do. And we're thinking about how
10:21 --> 10:23 much we don't want to do it. And it just makes it 12 times worse.
10:24 --> 10:27 So when we can actually change the energy in which we're doing that, and what
10:27 --> 10:30 I mean by that could be as simple as playing music while you're doing the
10:31 --> 10:34 task, something that simple will actually make the task so much easier.
10:34 --> 10:37 Then you have so much more energy to do all the other things that you
10:38 --> 10:40 need to do. Yeah. I think in one of your episodes you talked about that
10:41 --> 10:44 was to go to a Starbucks Starbucks and change the— Totally change your atmosphere.
10:45 --> 10:48 Yeah. Yeah. Just do something that changes it up a little bit and you're going
10:48 --> 10:52 to revitalize yourself to get through it. When you're having a conversation
10:52 --> 10:55 with an entrepreneur about delegating,
10:56 --> 11:00 is it always easy for them to accept that? No,
11:00 --> 11:03 not at all. Like it's the opposite. They're like, no, I can do it best.
11:03 --> 11:06 So I'm going to do it. And it's like, well, yes, but is this your
11:06 --> 11:09 zone of genius? Like, do you, like, is this task making,
11:09 --> 11:13 you so excited to show up for it every day? Or is this actually something
11:13 --> 11:17 that if you train someone on your way of doing it, that that
11:17 --> 11:20 would actually give you space to do the things that only you can do?
11:21 --> 11:24 Because there are certain things in business that only we can do, where it's like
11:25 --> 11:28 certain things, like when I think about my clients, it's like I'm the one who's
11:28 --> 11:31 doing, showing up and doing the healings. I'm the one that's showing up and doing
11:32 --> 11:35 the coaching. I couldn't hire someone necessarily, maybe, but I couldn't
11:35 --> 11:38 hire a VA to do those type of things. But could I hire a VA
11:38 --> 11:41 to then say, okay, can you edit this? Can you upload that?
11:41 --> 11:45 Can you download this? Can you email this? Absolutely. So it's about
11:46 --> 11:48 sometimes we have to again calm the nervous system around handing things off, but I
11:48 --> 11:51 think training people is really important.
11:51 --> 11:55 So that's a really important piece. You've got SOPs, right, to teach people
11:55 --> 11:58 how to do it, record that, monitor it the first 2 or 3 times they
11:58 --> 12:02 do it so you can shift it if it needs to be. But that's a
12:02 --> 12:06 really big one is just giving the space to say, when I do hand that
12:06 --> 12:09 off, it allows me so much more energy to focus on the things only I
12:09 --> 12:13 can do. And it's such a skill, I think, to practice. Yes. For you to
12:13 --> 12:16 get used to giving off that. I know. I'm in there too.
12:17 --> 12:19 I'm on my next edge, which is like, okay, I've given her a lot.
12:19 --> 12:23 Like, what about this thing? I don't know. You know, but I have to lean
12:23 --> 12:26 into trust and know that everything's gonna be okay. And I think a lot of
12:27 --> 12:31 times when people finally decide to do it, it's because they
12:31 --> 12:35 know other people have done it. Yes, exactly. If you're, if you're the restaurant owner,
12:35 --> 12:38 you've been doing this for years. And you're just like, I don't wanna hire a
12:39 --> 12:41 manager because I'm the one that I need to keep track of everything. I wanna
12:42 --> 12:45 make sure the money's here, everyone's working. And you're like, oh, but my
12:46 --> 12:49 friend who owns a restaurant has done it and it's been successful. It allows you
12:50 --> 12:51 to start to see this in a different light.
12:53 --> 12:57 Do you think there is a learning curve against
12:57 --> 12:59 how long someone's been in a certain business?
13:00 --> 13:04 Like if I'm there for 2 years, I'm like, oh yeah, sure. I'm 2 years
13:04 --> 13:07 in, I'm 28 years old. I'm like, yeah, I don't wanna do any of this.
13:08 --> 13:10 But I feel like when you start to get in your 30s and 40s,
13:10 --> 13:13 you start to get set in your ways and find like,
13:14 --> 13:17 I've been doing this for so long. I don't wanna give this up. And I'm
13:17 --> 13:20 afraid someone's gonna come in and start to, the nails and the screws are gonna
13:20 --> 13:23 come loose. So you think there's a learning curve to that?
13:24 --> 13:27 I do. But I also would encourage every single
13:27 --> 13:31 business owner, entrepreneur, take a minute to start to tune into what
13:32 --> 13:35 we call the 5 layers of why. Why did you start your business in
13:36 --> 13:39 the first place? And then you'll get your answer. And why that? Okay. And then
13:40 --> 13:43 you'll get your answer and you keep going. Ultimately, what most people say is,
13:43 --> 13:47 I wanna spend more time with my family. I wanna go on vacation. Like the
13:47 --> 13:52 layers underneath the reasons you're doing these things anyways are family,
13:52 --> 13:56 uh, connection, presence, peace, joy. And so that I
13:57 --> 14:00 believe is a really cool jumping off point to say, okay, but if I do
14:00 --> 14:03 hand that off, then actually I do get to be more present with my kids.
14:03 --> 14:06 Or I do get to do the other things on my list that I really
14:07 --> 14:09 want to do. I get to lay on the beach because that's my dream when
14:09 --> 14:13 I started this business. Exactly. Right. And I, I feel like it gets layered
14:13 --> 14:17 underneath. Of course. Over time. Right. Yes. And I think I always have this thought
14:17 --> 14:20 that each year that someone is in business and the harder they grind,
14:21 --> 14:25 that goal starts to feel more distant. Mm-hmm. And they're just like,
14:25 --> 14:28 I'm, I'm just waking up every day at 6:00 AM, go through
14:29 --> 14:32 the, the motions, get back. And then we're in this, business again. I go
14:33 --> 14:36 to sleep, I start it all over again. And I think there's sometimes when you
14:36 --> 14:40 have to sit down as an entrepreneur and say what
14:41 --> 14:43 you're saying, to go back and go, what was it? What was my goal?
14:43 --> 14:46 Was it to work forever? No, right. I don't think any business owner— never
14:47 --> 14:51 see my children. Yeah. Never go on vacation. Also be stressed
14:51 --> 14:54 out all the time. Yes. I, you know, I, and I think that goes in
14:54 --> 14:56 a lot of different, uh, um,
14:57 --> 15:00 industries. You know, I've met One of the industries I always think
15:00 --> 15:04 about is every lawyer I've ever met that
15:05 --> 15:09 is full practicing litigation knows nothing about media.
15:10 --> 15:13 They don't, they're like, I'm never on this. I've never seen a movie. I don't
15:13 --> 15:16 listen to music. I don't go to concerts. My family goes on vacation. I still
15:16 --> 15:21 work. And I wish there was a way to get
15:21 --> 15:25 everyone on board to see that the end goal is not to be working
15:25 --> 15:29 forever, but then you accumulate this life that I think
15:29 --> 15:33 you have to keep up with it. And then to a lot of what you
15:33 --> 15:35 teach, I think when you start to go in that direction too far,
15:36 --> 15:40 your center starts to go in a different direction and now you're not happy
15:40 --> 15:44 about what you're doing. What are some of the things that you teach
15:44 --> 15:48 for people to get back to that center? Can you talk about that?
15:48 --> 15:52 Absolutely. I think sometimes even stepping into Coaching mentorship
15:52 --> 15:56 is really powerful. Mm-hmm. Because they're gonna ask you questions that have you recognize
15:56 --> 15:59 the pattern that you're in right now. So it's like, it's, it's a pattern interrupt
16:00 --> 16:03 where sometimes we're doing stuff and then until someone holds up a mirror, you're like,
16:03 --> 16:07 wait, I've been doing that? Like, I didn't even notice that I was never going
16:07 --> 16:10 on vacation. I didn't even notice that I've missed the last 12 soccer games.
16:10 --> 16:13 All of these things where it's like when you step into a space where people
16:14 --> 16:17 know what your goals are, which means not just the goal, it's the
16:17 --> 16:21 5 layers underneath it. What's the goal and why? Let's get deeper.
16:22 --> 16:24 They can start to ask you really powerful questions to say,
16:25 --> 16:28 but is this in alignment with your deepest goal? Does that actually make sense?
16:29 --> 16:31 That I think is a really powerful tool. That's why I hold space for my
16:32 --> 16:35 clients in that way is knowing what they want, knowing what they really want,
16:36 --> 16:39 and then asking them really powerful questions when they get stuck or they get kind
16:40 --> 16:42 of caught up in the grind that will kind of get them out of that
16:42 --> 16:46 experience. Yeah. And You know, one of the things
16:46 --> 16:49 after listening to you for all your episodes,
16:49 --> 16:54 and I wanted to ask you, what was it that inspired
16:54 --> 16:58 you to start to mentor entrepreneurs in
16:58 --> 17:01 this direction? So I studied
17:01 --> 17:04 marketing in college. I was at, I worked
17:05 --> 17:08 at an agency for 15 years. So I was building all of these brands,
17:08 --> 17:11 really big brands. And I was realizing, they don't really
17:12 --> 17:15 care about the end consumer that much. It's like a lot of people clocking in,
17:15 --> 17:18 clocking out. And I was like, I feel like I'm just a
17:19 --> 17:22 number in this job. And at some point I started saying like,
17:22 --> 17:25 well, what do I really wanna do? What gets me excited? And I started following
17:25 --> 17:29 that. But then I was like, I wanna help build brands that actually wanna change
17:29 --> 17:33 people's lives, that desire to make an impact on the world, that have some
17:33 --> 17:36 sort of a movement that they want to actually birth through them.
17:36 --> 17:39 And so that's what started getting me the most excited about it is 'cause I
17:39 --> 17:43 had all of this experience in marketing, but I was recognizing I was building brands
17:43 --> 17:47 that felt like they just didn't care. So by translating those
17:47 --> 17:50 skills into now what I help my clients do, it's the most
17:51 --> 17:53 rewarding thing on earth because it's like, this is what they came on this planet
17:54 --> 17:58 to do and I'm helping them build it, which is so exciting. Now I
17:58 --> 18:02 want to dive deeper into that. I feel like there is a part
18:03 --> 18:06 of you that you've gone through something
18:07 --> 18:11 that made you want to center back Right.
18:11 --> 18:15 Is there something that, a story for you that really
18:15 --> 18:19 inspired you outside of just helping business owners that were like, this is missing
18:19 --> 18:21 in me that I need to share with other entrepreneurs?
18:24 --> 18:28 The intuition was a really big part where it was like I was trying
18:28 --> 18:31 to take everyone else's template and make it my own. And then I was
18:31 --> 18:35 realizing it either wasn't working or I was building
18:35 --> 18:38 someone else's business and I was like, well, I don't really want to show up
18:38 --> 18:41 for it now. So I will tell you, one of the hardest
18:42 --> 18:45 things that I've moved through has been losing someone that I love in different ways.
18:45 --> 18:50 And I think that has been my biggest spiritual awakenings has been loss.
18:50 --> 18:53 And so I think that has a really powerful way of kind of bringing you
18:54 --> 18:57 back into what actually matters, what you desire to lean into.
18:57 --> 19:00 So, uh, when I had my first big loss, I remember, um,
19:01 --> 19:04 and you know, I had my dog, my puppy passed away.
19:05 --> 19:08 And I remember it being such a wild
19:09 --> 19:12 experience because I was not into the spirituality. I wasn't into any of that.
19:12 --> 19:16 When my friend was like, oh, you need to go see this woman.
19:16 --> 19:20 She's like, she can help you tune into your intuition. And she's
19:20 --> 19:23 kind of psychic. And I'm like, okay, you say she's great, but whatever.
19:23 --> 19:28 I'll sign up. We'll see what happens. Were you not as into
19:28 --> 19:32 the intuitive side? Not at all. Okay. I was just living my life in marketing,
19:33 --> 19:36 clock in, clock out. And so I reached out to this woman and
19:37 --> 19:39 I was like, I was like, hi, I'd like to make an appointment. And she
19:40 --> 19:42 was like, okay, sure. I have something available in 9 months. And I'm like,
19:43 --> 19:47 okay, I think I'm available in 9 months. Pencil me in. So long
19:47 --> 19:50 story short, it ended up landing on the day that my dog passed away.
19:51 --> 19:53 And I reached out to her and I'm like, it was so sweet. I was
19:54 --> 19:55 so green. I'm like, do I need to be in a good mood? I'm clearly
19:55 --> 19:59 not. This is a really hard, heavy day. Came out of nowhere.
19:59 --> 20:02 It wasn't like this long-term thing. It literally happened in 3 days.
20:02 --> 20:06 When she had passed away. And she was like, it's up to
20:06 --> 20:10 you, but I have this contract with the universe that says these
20:10 --> 20:13 appointments land on the day that you need them most. And I'm like,
20:13 --> 20:17 okay, body chills. I feel like I have to go. I don't know.
20:17 --> 20:20 Something's there for me. So I walk in and she knows nothing about, I just
20:20 --> 20:23 said my puppy passed away. She knows nothing about it. So I walk in and
20:23 --> 20:25 her name was Lady, my dog. And she said,
20:26 --> 20:29 hey, so Lady wasn't a puppy, right? She was 14
20:29 --> 20:32 and a half. And I'm like, yes.
20:33 --> 20:36 Like, what are you, what? She's like, she's got some messages for you.
20:36 --> 20:40 And I just remember being like, whoa. And I sat down. She had written out
20:40 --> 20:43 like front and back this piece of paper, all these channeled messages. And I'm like,
20:43 --> 20:46 well, I can't not be a believer now. What was that? You know what I
20:47 --> 20:50 mean? I'm looking at this piece of paper like, that's not, you can't find that
20:50 --> 20:53 on Google. Like what in the world? And it was, it kind of just blew
20:53 --> 20:56 my mind in the most incredible way where I was like, First of all,
20:57 --> 21:00 the worst day of my life had me start to question everything that I believed
21:01 --> 21:04 at the same time, where it was like, maybe our relationship isn't ending. Maybe it's
21:04 --> 21:08 just changing form. And then it set me on this path to
21:08 --> 21:12 just wanting to know more and getting more and more curious about how that
21:12 --> 21:15 got me in tune with my own spirit and what did I come here to
21:15 --> 21:19 build? And it was this beautiful spiritual awakening. But I will say loss has been
21:19 --> 21:21 the greatest catalyst for me because it has you question everything.
21:23 --> 21:27 It's so interesting that you have that story because that was— my
21:28 --> 21:32 dog passing away was the— he
21:32 --> 21:35 had heart failure and he had— we were told
21:36 --> 21:40 that he was gonna, I think, have 6 months to live and
21:40 --> 21:43 he ended up living 2 years into it. Yeah. But it was the last,
21:43 --> 21:47 I would say, 4 or 5 months was a struggle. Yeah. And I was in
21:47 --> 21:50 this place where I was trying to figure out, you know, do you put him
21:50 --> 21:53 down? And I think Everyone, yeah, everyone just tells you
21:54 --> 21:56 to put him down, right? Everyone just goes, put him down, put it down.
21:56 --> 21:59 And I was like, no, like, he's still there. Like, he still gets up and
21:59 --> 22:03 he still— he, he's still aware what's going on. And I remember,
22:04 --> 22:07 um, when I was told that diagnosis, I was like— I, I was working in
22:07 --> 22:10 an office at the time, and I was like, I don't want to spend the
22:11 --> 22:14 last 6 months of his life me being gone from
22:14 --> 22:18 like 9 to whatever it is, right? So I ended up changing
22:18 --> 22:21 the course of my life for it. It really like, oh, I've got body chills.
22:21 --> 22:23 Yeah. I, I was like, I have to, I'm gonna figure out how to,
22:24 --> 22:27 to get into other industries. I, I got into, you know, credit card processing,
22:27 --> 22:30 insurance and all this stuff where I can work from home and spend time with
22:31 --> 22:34 them. And I was, to this day, I've, I have no regrets. Yeah.
22:34 --> 22:37 Because there was this, there was this dip in income for a little bit as
22:37 --> 22:41 you're trying to get yourself going. And of course you're like, but every moment I
22:41 --> 22:44 had, and the only moment I didn't have with him was literally
22:44 --> 22:47 the last hour of his life. I went out for,
22:48 --> 22:50 for grab something to eat because I was like— and he was— something was going
22:51 --> 22:53 on and came back and ended up, I think, having a heart attack and he
22:54 --> 22:57 just passed away. So I understand that, like, that, that moment made me
22:57 --> 23:01 rethink my whole entire life. Yes. And then what was interesting was,
23:02 --> 23:05 um, my uncle passed away, I think, 3 months right
23:05 --> 23:09 after that. He was the closest person I had as a father. Yes. So I
23:09 --> 23:12 was like, this is, this is crazy what's happening. Like,
23:12 --> 23:16 and I It's interesting. I think as you're
23:16 --> 23:20 growing up, most of you don't really experience a lot of that
23:20 --> 23:24 spirituality because you're just like in your 20s and yourself and
23:24 --> 23:27 just doing your thing. And then when you get in your 30s and 40s and
23:28 --> 23:31 people start to pass away or any, anybody, any,
23:31 --> 23:35 your animals, whoever it is, start to pass away, you start to feel
23:36 --> 23:39 like you're not invincible anymore. Right. That there's this, you have
23:39 --> 23:42 to try to find this connection and it, the same thing that you went through,
23:42 --> 23:47 I think it opened me up to not just really talking
23:47 --> 23:50 about religion so
23:50 --> 23:53 much, but it's this other thing that we don't know and how do we connect
23:54 --> 23:56 to it. Right. Um, do you think it has,
23:57 --> 24:03 it has made you a better business
24:03 --> 24:06 coach to people by being able to, to just think outside the box
24:07 --> 24:10 now? Absolutely. Yeah. Yes. It's been so, uh,
24:11 --> 24:14 when you can meet someone in every season of their life,
24:14 --> 24:17 whether it's in business, whether it's, you know, any of the big seasons
24:17 --> 24:21 that they're moving through, divorce, loss, health scares, all of
24:21 --> 24:24 these things. If you can meet them in all of that, it's one of the
24:24 --> 24:28 most beautiful experiences to hold space for someone who's moving through
24:28 --> 24:32 something really big like that. Because it goes so much deeper than business coaching and
24:32 --> 24:35 healing and all of these things. I'm holding space for all of it because it
24:35 --> 24:38 all impacts business. It impacts, do I wanna show up today?
24:38 --> 24:42 Can I show up today? Do I feel okay to show up? And so
24:42 --> 24:45 that's why everything is like, there's nothing off the table
24:45 --> 24:48 in what we do. And that's what I find to be so powerful is having
24:48 --> 24:51 gone through some really difficult experiences,
24:52 --> 24:56 the breadth and depth of the container that I hold is so much deeper because
24:56 --> 24:59 of that. I would have no frame of reference if I had never lost anyone
24:59 --> 25:02 and everything was easy. I'd be like, sure, just do this.
25:02 --> 25:06 It's like the compassion piece. Is what I've received from every single loss that
25:06 --> 25:10 I've had. And it's absolutely changed me as a person and as a mentor
25:11 --> 25:14 and a coach. Yeah. And I think when I'm advising a client
25:15 --> 25:19 or something, I just start to— if they're not focused on a business or
25:19 --> 25:23 that discussion at that moment, I start to think about that. Right. What has gone
25:23 --> 25:26 through the last 3 days, last 24 hours,
25:26 --> 25:30 whatever it is. Right. I'm trying to figure out
25:30 --> 25:34 how to navigate that conversation so I can connect to it. And sometimes it's
25:34 --> 25:38 tough. I think when, um, I've had,
25:39 --> 25:42 you know, advising clients that have come through and they're like, let me tell
25:43 --> 25:46 you what's happened in the last week. And you're just like, there's no way you're
25:46 --> 25:49 in a frame of mind to talk to me right now. Yeah. Yeah.
25:50 --> 25:54 Yeah. Like, by the way, I'm, I'm, I'm importing a bunch of stuff from China
25:54 --> 25:57 to be able to launch in the next 30 days. I'm like, what? I think
25:58 --> 26:01 you need to— Yeah. Yeah. That's the question. What I've,
26:01 --> 26:04 I've told certain people, I'm like, you should go deal with that right now because
26:05 --> 26:08 I think it's, it's more important to be able to to start to check those
26:08 --> 26:12 things off of the list so that you can concentrate on this. Because that
26:12 --> 26:15 energy, I think sometimes when people are pulling from,
26:16 --> 26:19 I won't say bad energy, but I feel like that's where it is. Right.
26:19 --> 26:22 It's this, this, this, I don't know,
26:22 --> 26:25 evilness or whatever it is that's in the world that, that's pulling us in different
26:25 --> 26:29 directions, trying to make us unfocused to where we need
26:29 --> 26:32 to go. And I want people to start to clear that
26:33 --> 26:36 out because when you're dealing with other consumers,
26:36 --> 26:40 clientele, you're coming there, they can feel it too. They can absolutely feel it
26:41 --> 26:44 when you're short with them. When you're just like, you're just like, I gotta go
26:44 --> 26:48 because we're really, that was, could be a really important meeting
26:48 --> 26:51 where they can refer you other clients and you're just not focused on
26:51 --> 26:54 what's going on in that moment. Yes. Um, you know, I,
26:55 --> 26:58 I think sometimes it's, but it's tough, right? We're at,
26:58 --> 27:02 uh, up to a certain level until you can start to delegate
27:02 --> 27:05 that, you know, what we were talking about. Yeah. You're doing a lot of it
27:05 --> 27:09 yourself. So that emotion, you have to carry that burden
27:09 --> 27:12 of, um, the stress of the business, your personal
27:12 --> 27:16 life. And then if you are married to someone, live with someone, have kids,
27:16 --> 27:19 you have to deal with that too. Yeah. And, and bring that all into one
27:19 --> 27:23 place. Um, do you think, do you think
27:23 --> 27:27 there's a point where, where for clients that you've
27:27 --> 27:30 seen, that there's a point that they get to and they're like, you're like,
27:30 --> 27:33 you know what? You've, you've cleared a lot of that out and now you can
27:33 --> 27:37 really concentrate in business, or do you think it's always ongoing? Yeah. Yeah.
27:37 --> 27:41 I know. Right. There's always more. Uh, I find it's cyclical,
27:41 --> 27:45 you know, there's there. And if we can heal things in real time, it,
27:45 --> 27:50 life and our business gets so much easier because everything
27:50 --> 27:52 is a mirror. So certain things that we do in business, certain,
27:53 --> 27:56 um, steps we wanna take, all of these things, we're gonna
27:56 --> 27:59 be confronted with internal dialogues and experiences and life and all
27:59 --> 28:02 of this stuff is gonna get in the way. The more that we can start
28:02 --> 28:06 to tune into Okay, what is happening internally around this? And we
28:06 --> 28:10 can move it the faster we can go. So I actually find slowing down does
28:10 --> 28:14 make it faster because we're pausing for a minute to say, let me move
28:14 --> 28:18 that so that the client doesn't feel the energy. Because I always say what's happening
28:18 --> 28:21 inside, it's kind of like, uh, what's being projected out
28:21 --> 28:24 into our aura. So it's kind of like you walk into a room and you're
28:24 --> 28:27 like, that energy feels bad in that corner. That person, like, I don't know,
28:27 --> 28:30 I just don't wanna talk to that person. Uh, I think I'm gonna leave and
28:30 --> 28:33 go this way. Or you walk in and there's just someone who's welcoming you that
28:33 --> 28:37 you're like, ah, I just feel so good in their presence. You're interacting with
28:37 --> 28:41 their aura, their energy. And what's happening with the aura is essentially a
28:41 --> 28:44 collection of all of your internal dialogues, all the things you're moving through, all of
28:45 --> 28:48 your fears, all of that is projected out. We don't know that sometimes.
28:49 --> 28:53 And it's like, if my aura is now connecting with yours and I know how
28:53 --> 28:56 you're feeling about certain things without you even saying a word.
28:57 --> 29:00 And so it's like, it's the person that let's say just isn't confident at all,
29:00 --> 29:03 but they're saying something, but you're like, something tells me, is not lining up,
29:04 --> 29:07 we can feel that. So if we can work on that behind closed doors
29:07 --> 29:10 and then step into the spaces where we're connecting and all of these things,
29:11 --> 29:15 it's a game changer. People can feel when the energy is more clear
29:15 --> 29:18 than when there's a lot of internal dialogues that we haven't even touched.
29:18 --> 29:21 Yeah, and I think there's some people that are really intuitive. Like, I feel,
29:22 --> 29:26 I can feel that with people when I start to connect. And then when I've
29:26 --> 29:28 had people get introduced to me that I,
29:30 --> 29:33 So I've always had this thing where like, if I, if I'm not,
29:34 --> 29:37 uh, if I don't align with them, it feels like
29:37 --> 29:40 this, uh, like a— from my stomach, like a roller coaster ride. Like,
29:40 --> 29:44 it's just weird. Like, and I'm like, this person's not— I can tell.
29:44 --> 29:48 And I've— I mean, I know this is hard to explain to people,
29:48 --> 29:51 but I've been 100% correct. Exactly. Every time.
29:52 --> 29:55 Yeah. And I was like, every time. And I find out something and I go
29:55 --> 29:58 And I'm like, I knew I shouldn't. Yes. I knew I stayed away from them
29:58 --> 30:03 for a reason. Right. Right. Yeah. Have you had people that are
30:03 --> 30:07 maybe introduced to you by a client or referred over and they were not in
30:08 --> 30:11 that space and now they're starting to understand? I'm like, oh, I get this
30:12 --> 30:15 now what you're saying, where I have this aura to align with someone I wanna
30:16 --> 30:19 do business with or connect with and grow. Have you had people that just have
30:19 --> 30:23 switched over for that? Yeah. Well, my husband, he's like,
30:23 --> 30:25 what do you do for a living? I'm so confused. I'm like, just call me
30:25 --> 30:28 a business coach. It's fine. And now,
30:29 --> 30:32 he'll start to say things where I'm like, that was kinda spiritual. You know what
30:32 --> 30:35 I mean? Where I'm just like letting it kind of like percolate and be like
30:35 --> 30:39 whatever he wants it to be. But I'm not rushing him. The way that he
30:39 --> 30:42 does life is perfect. And we're like kind of like yin yang. It's like this
30:42 --> 30:45 idea of like, I do this over here and he's really good at this over
30:45 --> 30:49 there. It's this very balanced energy. And so, I would never expect him
30:49 --> 30:52 to come all the way to this side. He's not gonna expect me to go
30:52 --> 30:55 all the way to the construction side. Like, that's not interesting to me. Like,
30:55 --> 30:57 it's awesome for him. He loves it. He loves when his mind can look at
30:57 --> 31:00 spreadsheets and figure out design plans and all of
31:01 --> 31:04 these things. For me, I'm like, let's go to the ethers. You know, it's like,
31:04 --> 31:08 and he's like, no thanks. So it's fun because we balance each other
31:09 --> 31:12 out where the things where I didn't even want to touch it. Now I'm like,
31:12 --> 31:16 well, you know what? Spreadsheets are kind of nice because they keep me organized.
31:16 --> 31:19 You know, little things like that where I find we're starting to balance each other
31:19 --> 31:23 out in that way, but we don't rush each other. Yeah. And I think
31:23 --> 31:26 this is one important thing. And I feel
31:27 --> 31:31 like after listening to your podcast that you bring up is
31:31 --> 31:35 it's this underlying tone of being able to grow, right?
31:35 --> 31:38 In multiple ways. And I think that's something that's important for
31:38 --> 31:43 us as adults, as we were
31:44 --> 31:47 nurtured a certain way, we come in a certain environment, and then we were
31:48 --> 31:51 like, this is the way life is supposed to be. And it's It's most of
31:52 --> 31:55 the times it's not because someone else is living a completely different life and they're
31:55 --> 31:57 able to survive and they go through.
31:58 --> 32:02 And I think it's important to start to see that as you
32:02 --> 32:06 grow up, you see, you know, I'm just gonna open this door a
32:06 --> 32:10 little bit. Just let this thought come or process come in or this
32:10 --> 32:14 otherworldly culture that I don't know anything about and just see
32:14 --> 32:18 if it's gonna touch my soul a little bit to be able to grow.
32:18 --> 32:22 And I think that's one of the toughest things is to get people
32:22 --> 32:25 to see that. And then, but I've met people who have changed their lives just
32:25 --> 32:29 like you and I have one day. And, and it went from,
32:29 --> 32:32 and some people were just like so far from where they were. Yeah.
32:33 --> 32:36 You know, I've, I've been told, I've had, I've met and have friends
32:37 --> 32:40 now that, uh, people have told me about their past and I'm like,
32:40 --> 32:44 there's no way that's the same person. Right. But yeah, it's a lot of times
32:44 --> 32:47 something happened and they found this other path and go, I need to be a
32:48 --> 32:51 better person. Yeah. Or I mean, better person is, I always put in quotes because
32:51 --> 32:54 it's different to each of us, right? For sure. Yeah. And then,
32:54 --> 32:58 but now they're doing things that are spreading this.
32:58 --> 33:01 Like, I found this, whatever it is, and I want other people
33:01 --> 33:06 to see it. Do you think, what do
33:06 --> 33:10 you think is gonna be the next steps for you as Christina
33:10 --> 33:13 to grow into, I don't know,
33:14 --> 33:17 expand? Your spirituality or who you are?
33:17 --> 33:20 That's such a good question because the evolution, to your
33:21 --> 33:24 point, can be we can dip our toes in or it can just be like,
33:24 --> 33:28 boom, like, whoa. And a lot of that happens through death,
33:28 --> 33:31 through, you know what I mean? Through, uh, losing someone we love, through health scares,
33:31 --> 33:34 all of these things that can blow us open really fast where suddenly we're like,
33:35 --> 33:38 I need to find another way of being. Uh, it's nice when we can dip
33:38 --> 33:41 our toes in and start to kind of like tune into what's next for me.
33:42 --> 33:44 And so, I mean, I always joke with my husband. I'm like, I'm a sorority
33:45 --> 33:48 girl turned shaman. Like, yikes, who did you marry? You know what I mean?
33:48 --> 33:51 Like, it's like, whoa. Like, but it's, that was my evolution. Yeah. It's like,
33:51 --> 33:55 it's pretty crazy to think about, but essentially I just kept following the path
33:55 --> 33:58 that felt like it was most aligned with me. And that's the power
33:59 --> 34:01 of doing that. And the power of tuning into your intuition is it's gonna keep
34:02 --> 34:05 guiding you to what's next for you. And usually it
34:05 --> 34:08 is like a whisper. That's kind of how the intuition works. It will be a
34:09 --> 34:12 whisper. And then if you don't listen to it, it can get louder and louder.
34:12 --> 34:15 And one of my mentors says it's the dropkick in the face where it's like
34:15 --> 34:18 the health scare or it's something else where if we're not paying attention,
34:19 --> 34:24 the universe, our body will get our attention somehow. And so when
34:24 --> 34:27 we can tune into the intuitive whisper, it makes life so much easier. So that's
34:28 --> 34:31 what I'm continuing to do is just tuning in, seeing what's next, seeing where I'm
34:31 --> 34:35 feeling guided, seeing where I feel expanded. And that's where I feel like energy
34:35 --> 34:38 flows the easiest is when we're tuned in and we're like, I feel really
34:38 --> 34:41 excited to create that. I'm gonna do it. Was there ever a point
34:42 --> 34:45 when, after that initial moment that you were like,
34:45 --> 34:49 this is sort of scaring me a little bit. This is too much for me.
34:49 --> 34:51 Totally. Yeah. I'm like, what is this? This is so scary.
34:52 --> 34:56 But at the same time it was like, but why does it feel so good?
34:56 --> 35:00 Why do I feel more like myself than I ever have before? And so it
35:01 --> 35:04 was like, I just kept following it. And honestly, I followed it in secret for
35:04 --> 35:07 a while where I was like, I just need to understand this. For myself first,
35:08 --> 35:11 because I don't want to go preaching it to other people if it's not their
35:11 --> 35:14 jam. I'm okay with wherever anyone is in their journey.
35:15 --> 35:18 But I will say that was probably one of the hardest parts moving through it
35:18 --> 35:22 was suddenly realizing there's misalignment with people in
35:22 --> 35:24 your life when you start to open the door to other things and you're like,
35:24 --> 35:28 I want to follow this. This is so cool. And people are like, what?
35:28 --> 35:32 And so there are people that are there for a lifetime
35:32 --> 35:35 and some people that are there for a season and having to be okay with
35:35 --> 35:39 that too and grieving that process. Through it. Yeah, I've always,
35:39 --> 35:42 I've always been curious as to
35:43 --> 35:46 what gets people, like you're saying, all the way in,
35:46 --> 35:50 or sometimes they just dip their toes and keep moving, right? I think for me
35:50 --> 35:54 it's always been a dipping in like half a foot into everything.
35:54 --> 35:58 And just, I, I love being a part
35:58 --> 36:01 and a piece of a lot of different things just so I can feel like
36:01 --> 36:05 I've experienced it, it's a part of me now, and I can, I can keep
36:05 --> 36:09 learning. But But you know, you and I probably meet people like
36:09 --> 36:12 this all the time that they go in, they're all in, right? They find something
36:12 --> 36:15 like, I love this so much. And you're like, wow. Yeah.
36:16 --> 36:19 Yeah. Hello. Yeah. But, but okay. So cutting back,
36:21 --> 36:25 is there anything you wanna share with, that you have coming up with any courses
36:25 --> 36:29 or anything for your, for the listeners out there? So I,
36:29 --> 36:32 there's so many spaces that I love to play in. Of course, I've got my
36:32 --> 36:34 one-on-one containers where we go the most deep,
36:34 --> 36:38 most personalized and massive quantum leaps
36:38 --> 36:41 in the space, which is so fun, uh, for the business owner that's wanting to
36:41 --> 36:44 scale to 7 figures and beyond, but wants to get out of their own way.
36:44 --> 36:47 They don't know, you know, necessarily what's next. That's gonna
36:48 --> 36:51 be a powerful place for them to play. I have a mastermind, which is so
36:51 --> 36:54 much fun. That's where all of the collective energy in the space, uh,
36:54 --> 36:58 lots of people that are building something to be around other like-minded people.
36:58 --> 37:01 That's, it's, it's a true mastermind. Yeah. That's great. So it's not just me,
37:02 --> 37:05 in their coaching, it's like, okay, let's sit at a table, whether it's in-person
37:06 --> 37:09 or virtual, and actually ask the brilliant minds in the space, what have you
37:10 --> 37:13 done? And often I say, tune into your body and see what feels right.
37:13 --> 37:16 Grab a bunch of information and say, that's nice for you,
37:16 --> 37:19 not mine. Or that's interesting. I'm gonna take it and kind of shift it and
37:19 --> 37:23 make it mine. And that's the beauty of the mastermind space is that there's so
37:23 --> 37:27 many brilliant minds that we start to actually create. Uh, and it's a beautiful
37:28 --> 37:30 space for us to start to tune into. How do I, how did I come
37:31 --> 37:34 here to build? Yeah. Like a synergy of exactly minds getting together. Yeah. Let's do
37:34 --> 37:37 it. Business minds. Yes. Yeah. Love it. We're gonna have in-person events now, which is
37:37 --> 37:40 something I channeled as like, this is next for you. This is next for the
37:40 --> 37:43 space. So that is really aligned. I've seen that in my mind's eye for a
37:44 --> 37:48 really long time and just leaning into the podcast even more.
37:48 --> 37:51 Yeah. That You Unlimited podcast. I'm obsessed with it. It's so fun because we've got
37:52 --> 37:55 incredible business owners in the space like yourself that we start tuning into.
37:55 --> 37:59 Not just business, but simultaneously, you know, how did you build the
37:59 --> 38:02 thing? Let's talk about all the layers underneath business that is actually
38:02 --> 38:06 some of the most connecting pieces. And how can we learn from
38:06 --> 38:09 maybe some ways that we've stumbled so we don't have to do that ourselves?
38:09 --> 38:12 That's great. And, uh, what's the easiest way to contact
38:13 --> 38:16 you? So many different ways you could connect with me
38:16 --> 38:20 on Instagram. That's a great spot. So it's @iamchristinadeering,
38:21 --> 38:24 uh, which is fun and spelled D-E-E. R-I-N-G. So like a deer.
38:24 --> 38:27 And that's a great way to connect with me or, you know, uh,
38:28 --> 38:31 my website, christinadeering.com. And if you want that 7-figure shift,
38:31 --> 38:35 christinadeering.com/shift. Great, great way to start to lean
38:35 --> 38:38 in and move the energy around anything you're manifesting. All right, great.
38:39 --> 38:43 Well, everyone, uh, please, uh, contact Christina. I think this is gonna be,
38:43 --> 38:46 um, great for you as a business owner, entrepreneur. Listen to
38:47 --> 38:50 her podcast. It's great. It's motivating. It's also really, uh, intuitive.
38:51 --> 38:55 Yes. Yes. So thank you so much for being on the podcast. Thank you so
38:55 --> 38:58 much. This was so much fun. Yeah, it is. And this is Personal Side of
38:58 --> 39:02 Business. Thank you. So we wrapped up and we were just talking and I
39:02 --> 39:05 wanted to add this as the sort of the bonus to this episode.
39:06 --> 39:10 Christina wanted to share her story. Just, I think it's going to be really
39:11 --> 39:16 poignant for a lot of you that go through a lot of life issues,
39:16 --> 39:20 trauma, drama. Um, as you're an entrepreneur and
39:20 --> 39:23 how you're going to be able to deal with that. So Christina. Sure.
39:24 --> 39:28 Yeah. So we were just talking about loss. You know, I know we kind
39:28 --> 39:32 of dug into that a little bit earlier about the loss of our dogs,
39:32 --> 39:36 which was so difficult. And one of the, one of the biggest catalysts
39:36 --> 39:40 I myself walked through as well was, uh, having miscarriages
39:40 --> 39:44 back to back to back miscarriages. And I have a 5-year-old son
39:44 --> 39:47 who I am just obsessed with. He is like the light of my life.
39:47 --> 39:50 And then, The second we started trying for the second one, it just became,
39:50 --> 39:54 you know, back to back to back to back miscarriages,
39:54 --> 39:58 4 of them in a year and a half and still
39:58 --> 40:02 showing up for business and not— and believe
40:02 --> 40:05 me, when I would say I was going through some deep healing modalities, I'm like,
40:05 --> 40:08 I will do anything if this will get me to the other side of this
40:09 --> 40:12 so that I can hold my baby in my arms. And so when we talk
40:12 --> 40:16 about opening up to the spiritual realm, I kept connecting
40:16 --> 40:19 to that baby over and over and over again. And I'm like, I know this
40:19 --> 40:23 baby is coming. I know it in my bones. I don't care what anyone says.
40:23 --> 40:26 I don't care what doctors are saying. I'm positive that this baby
40:26 --> 40:30 is coming. Even when people in my life were like, you should just stop
40:30 --> 40:32 trying. It's so hard, right? That's just so hard.
40:33 --> 40:36 Anything that we're trying to manifest, you're gonna get people that say,
40:37 --> 40:40 hey, the 3D evidence is telling you to stop doing it.
40:40 --> 40:43 But if there's a part of you that you know in the cells of your
40:43 --> 40:47 body that this baby is coming or this business baby is coming or whatever
40:48 --> 40:49 it is, like, I know that I'm meant to X,
40:51 --> 40:54 please keep going after that thing because I knew in my bones
40:55 --> 40:59 that this baby was going to come. And so I just kept,
40:59 --> 41:02 you know, kept going at it. But it was kind of wild because it's like
41:03 --> 41:05 going back in the ring and getting your butt kicked over and over again and
41:06 --> 41:08 then being like, I'm back. You know what I mean? And it was very,
41:09 --> 41:12 traumatic, that whole experience of moving through the loss,
41:13 --> 41:17 but continuing to show up and saying, I know this baby's coming.
41:17 --> 41:22 Yeah. And I think people can use that as their
41:23 --> 41:25 excuse to stop. Yes. You're just like,
41:26 --> 41:29 and I don't want to use excuse, it's a strong word, but I think sometimes
41:29 --> 41:33 there's this, you can only take so much as a person and you're trying
41:33 --> 41:36 to find this motivation to keep going when things like that happen.
41:37 --> 41:40 What were you looking at as
41:41 --> 41:45 the long-term picture? Was it to have another child and
41:45 --> 41:49 family or just to be strong enough to get through whatever this is or
41:49 --> 41:52 both? It was both. It was both. It was
41:53 --> 41:56 like, I know that this baby is coming and I have to go
41:56 --> 42:00 deeper into the healing than I've ever gone before because it
42:00 --> 42:04 was really hard. I remember coming back from acupuncture,
42:04 --> 42:07 And I was crying so hard that I couldn't even see the road.
42:09 --> 42:12 And I ended up pulling into an IKEA parking lot.
42:13 --> 42:17 And I remember calling my husband and being like, I can't
42:17 --> 42:20 do this anymore. And he's like, what are you talking about? I said,
42:20 --> 42:24 life, I don't wanna do this anymore. And he
42:25 --> 42:28 was like, paused. And he said, Christina, I need to know how serious
42:29 --> 42:33 you are about that statement. And at that point, I wasn't even sure.
42:33 --> 42:36 It's like, I didn't have a plan, but I knew I
42:37 --> 42:40 didn't wanna do whatever the hell was going on over and over and over again.
42:41 --> 42:44 And so, but because I was honest about that,
42:45 --> 42:47 because I told my husband that,
42:48 --> 42:51 I knew that because I got it out of the cells of my body and
42:51 --> 42:54 I didn't just live with that in shame or in fear,
42:55 --> 42:59 it actually allowed me to process the grief even
42:59 --> 43:02 more than I thought that I needed to, because the moments kept coming
43:02 --> 43:06 in waves where it was like, I'm okay, I can keep going. And then you
43:06 --> 43:10 get your butt kicked again and you're like, I don't know how I keep going,
43:10 --> 43:13 but I know that I'm gonna keep going. So I just had to get really
43:13 --> 43:16 honest with myself about where I was, about what was happening,
43:16 --> 43:19 about what help I needed, because I could
43:19 --> 43:22 not do that on my own. I had to be really honest about where I
43:22 --> 43:26 was, and the difficulty of all of it and leaned
43:27 --> 43:31 into the most powerful healing modalities on earth and just kept
43:31 --> 43:35 going. And it's been, I mean, now I know what
43:35 --> 43:38 I'm truly capable of. You know what I mean? Yeah. Thank you for sharing that.
43:39 --> 43:44 And I always said that mothers
43:45 --> 43:48 are the strongest creatures alive because
43:48 --> 43:51 you do whatever it takes to keep going. Right? There's no excuse.
43:53 --> 43:56 When you're sick, the world still has to keep moving
43:56 --> 44:00 on, right? When everyone else is sick around you, you just, you have to take
44:00 --> 44:04 care of them. And I always think that is one of the hardest positions
44:04 --> 44:08 to be in is a mother
44:08 --> 44:12 that is trying to, that has a goal to keep everyone else alive, right?
44:12 --> 44:15 You're trying to bring life to this world.
44:16 --> 44:19 Thank you so much for sharing that. You're welcome.
44:20 --> 44:24 I hope that when we share this, this is something that we
44:24 --> 44:27 all get to understand that we
44:27 --> 44:31 all go through this. This is something that's really hard for all of
44:32 --> 44:35 us. This conversation led to this is because I've gone through something like this
44:35 --> 44:39 too. And for Christina to be able to share this, I think
44:39 --> 44:42 shows that even though we're powerful, we're all human inside.
44:43 --> 44:47 Thank you so much. You're welcome. You're welcome. Thank you. And what's cool
44:47 --> 44:50 is I haven't shared this publicly at
44:51 --> 44:54 all, which is why we're gonna wait to post the
44:55 --> 44:57 podcast till a little later, 'cause I have to share it on my own podcast.
44:59 --> 45:02 But I ended up having a baby in secret.
45:02 --> 45:06 Congrats. But I knew that this baby
45:06 --> 45:09 was coming. I knew it. But I was honestly, from all the trauma, I'm like,
45:09 --> 45:12 I can't, I'm not telling anyone. I'm not until I hear that baby cry.
45:13 --> 45:16 I don't know what's going to happen. We have our baby.
45:17 --> 45:20 Nice. But I haven't shared it with the world because it was such a traumatic
45:21 --> 45:25 experience and I wanted to keep it sacred. I didn't
45:25 --> 45:28 want anyone to rock the boat. And this is with any manifestation you're bringing into
45:28 --> 45:31 fruition. If there are people that don't believe in it, don't share it with them
45:31 --> 45:35 yet. Prove them wrong and keep going.
45:35 --> 45:39 Continue to keep going. And when you do that, and then
45:39 --> 45:43 at the end of it, it doesn't even matter whether or not they believe in
45:43 --> 45:45 what you just did or not. You did it for yourself. Yeah.
45:46 --> 45:50 And you kept going and I just kept going and I feel so blessed
45:50 --> 45:54 to be able to hold this baby in my arms. We're gonna end on that
45:54 --> 45:58 cuz that's such a beautiful note. This is why
45:59 --> 46:01 we turned the cameras back on. Yeah. But now with that. Yeah. Thank you,
46:01 --> 46:04 Christina. Thank you so much. Yeah. Thank you for having me. And I really,
46:05 --> 46:08 I hope that this supports in whatever journey anyone was walking.
46:08 --> 46:11 Never give up. Your intuition is always right.
46:12 --> 46:14 Reach out to me anytime if you're moving through something heavy. I got you.
46:15 --> 46:18 All right. Thank you, guys. Thank you.
